The Belarusian-Venezuelan Trading Company will be set up in Caracas.

"Within four months we have to set up a joint company, the Belarusian-Venezuelan Trading Company. At the same time, an affiliate of the trading house will be set up in Belarus. It will be mutually beneficial cooperation," Deputy Head of the Bellegprom Group Ludmila Tyaglova said. Owing to the Trading Company Belarus will import and export raw materials, equipment, various services. The Trading Company will be established by the Venezuelan Suvinica company (51% of the authorised capital) and the Belresursy Trade and Production Association (49%). The Venezuelan Trade Ministry will provide the Belarusian side with an office space in the center of Caracas free.

According to Ludmila Tyaglova, the issue concerning the creation of the Trading Company was discussed during a recent visit of the Belarusian governmental delegation to Caracas. In the Venezuelan capital a presentation of Belarusian light industry's companies was held. The Venezuelan side showed an interest in importing Belarusian fabrics, clothing and footwear for kids. In turn, the Belarusian side is interested in Venezuelan raw hide for tanneries. Bellegprom is also ready to supply linen, textiles, corsetry, leather and linen footwear, clothing and china to Venezuela.

In May an official Venezuelan delegation is expected to visit Belarus to discuss contracts with the Bellegprom Group.

Although Russia remains Bellegprom's main trade partner, every year the export geography of the Belarusian Group expands. At present, Bellegprom exports goods to 54 countries including Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, Panama. At the same time, the export to South and Central America is not significant so far. "We will have an opportunity to supply our goods to Caribbean countries and Bolivia via Venezuela," Ludmila Tyaglova noted.
